Progesterone Side Effects

Hi Ladies.  I am considered high-risk because I keep delivering my kids earlier and earlier. DD was born at 33 weeks in 2009.

I have been taking Progesterone shots for this pregnancy since I was 16 weeks (so for 11 weeks now). I was doing perfectly fine on them up until 2 weeks ago. I started getting a pain in my right butt cheek where I got the shot. I thought maybe it was just a cramp or soreness from the shot.

Last night it was time to do the shot on my right side again. It hurt really really bad. I mean the pain last all night. Fast forward to right now at work and I can barely sit. My entire right leg is completely numb. I put a call into the doctor and have an appointment at 2:15 to get checked out.

I guess I'm just looking to see if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome might have been. Thanks.

ETA: I posted on the High Risk board also and someone suggested posting here as well.

    I only had a couple of progesterone shots while in the hospital on preterm floor prior to Sophia's delivery.   Your comment about numbness makes me wonder if maybe you hit a nerve???  I'm curious about what your physician says about it!!
