Progesterone ?

Hi. My beta at 12 days post transfer was 1500,my one and only beta so far. P4 was 12.4. I was on PIO 100mg. Is the low progesterone a sign that this is more likely to be a chemical or miscarriage? Has any one had a progesterone like this post transfer? And what happened. I've since been put on endometrin 100 mg three times a day suppositories. I'm not worried about the level so much since it's above ten. Just worried if it's a sign.

    I can't fully answer your question (nor am I a doctor), but your beta numbers look good for being 12dpt.  I've had a chemical pregnancy and usually those are over before the thought of being pregnant fully sinks in.  My beta never went higher than a 10.  I've also had a miscarriage when I was a few weeks along, but I don't know my beta numbers from that.  If your doctor seemed concerned, I'm sure they would up your PIO dosage or let you know.

    My first beta my prog. came back at 11 I believe. I was then on prog. supps until 12w

    Im now 35w.

    Thank you for the info. Msjcordova, did you doctor say anything about the level of 11. I was put on endometrin 100mg 3 times a day after the level came back at 12.4. But I was told the level was ok and nothing to worry about. My doctor and nurses all tend to sugarcoat things. I had two chemical pregnancies. My highest betas from those pregnancies were 46&53. They were very reassuring so the chemicals took me by surprise. I trust their work, I just don't trust them to tell me the truth about what to expect.Did your doctor say you were at greater than average risk of miscarriage at a level of 11? Did your levels go up after that?

    After the first beta and after starting the prog sups. my dr never really said anything about it and just said to stay on the sups until 12w.

    I also never had my levels checked after that, it might have been because I had another beta and my numbers more then doubled and Dr was pleased with them. She said that if my prog. wasn't going up then chances were, my beta wasn't going to either. I hope all turns out ok for you!

    My prog. level was at 12 with this pg and lower than that with my first.  For both, I started on suppositories but RE switched me to PIO until 14 weeks.  We did IUI's. My first pg ended up being totally normal and so far this one is too.  It is not necessarily a sign of anything negative.

    Very good to know. I know the beta was the most important number. Progesterone follows beta then. My beta was 1500+ yesterday, but I'm not having another til Friday, 4 days. Doubling times slow down past 1000 I've read. So that will be the big number to know.
