NBR: Chocolate Cake Filling Ideas

Long story short, Grandfathers birthday this wknd I am baking a cake he likes chocolate icing and preferably chocolate cake but as long as icing is chocale he is happy.  So I cant do coffee flavor or strawberry and have already done the salted caramel heath bar several times, so anyone have any other ideas?  I know there are a LOT of stipulations haha

Oh and I am wanting to decorate the cake with roses all over for practice so dont really want anything on top of or in the icing!!  Haha anyone got any ideas?

    What about a raspberry ganache? I LOVE chocolate and raspberry...although I have to echo the pp about chocolate and peanut butter, too!

    I've done a chocolate mousse filling before & it's yummers.  Although that PB suggestion sounds super yummy too!!

    I have thought about both pb and raspberry, with the pb would you just spread plain ole pb in the middle or make some kind of pb ganache or icing with it first?  And on the raspberry I wasnt sure if it would go well with chocolate, I was really hoping to make a white cake with raspberry filling before I found out he wanted chocolate :( but those are both great ideas!!!  Good to know that raspberry will be good!

    I like the pb idea, but I wouldn't do plain pb.  I would do mousse or icing - how about something like the pb mousse recipe at the bottom of this page?

    I like peanut butter idea too.

    Have you ever herd of Peanut Butter and Company?

    They have different flavors of peanut butter like

    White Chocolate Peanut Butter, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter and many more.

    I just made chocolate cupcakes and used a peanut butter filling and then used the dark chocolate peanut butter icing as the topping. They were yummy

    Just to drive you crazy, I'm including a picture in this post hehe

    My future SIL made chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter pudding filling and frosted with chocolate buttercream last week. They were amazing!!

    I'm sure you could google "peanut butter pudding" or filling, etc.
