NST Tests?

I am almost 37 weeks and had a NST test today, also had one with my DD so routine. All looked good, active baby. Doctor wants me back again Friday for another one. He did not mention anything about concerns. I did not know he wanted me back Friday until checking out so did not have a chance to ask why. Anyone else have a healthy pregnancy and have 2 NST tests? TIA

Maybe it's just the timing of your pregnancy? My OBs office does them weekly once you hit 38 weeks. Since you're not quite 37, maybe he wants to do one when you are 37?

I have Gestational Diabetes, and my doc is having me start weekly NSTs next week - with my 37 week appointment.

I have heard of weekly tests due to dietary issues or GD. Just wondering why a doc would want someone to come back same week when there have been no health issues with me or Grayson. Will ask Friday.

I have had one a week since 36 weeks. Everything looked good - do you have high blood pressure or GD? Sometimes that causes twice weekly or weekly NST.

Never had high blood pressure and no GD so that is why I am curious. I don't mind taking a break and hearing baby's heartbeat, I found it relaxing, just got me worried.

In all 3 of my pregnacies, my BP is 140/90 the whole 9 months. With DS3, I have been getting NSTs twice per week since 32 weeks. They didn't do this with my first two boys.....I think it is because with DS3 I am over 35 years old. I am a whopping 38!!!!
