Hi everyone,
After a lovely long weekend at the beach, I came back and had my NT scan this morning. I had my blood work done a couple of weeks ago so I was able to get my full risk assessment today. Everything looked great. My DS risk is 1:2850 which is very good for a 38 year old. I asked what the risk would be if they had plugged my age as 25 instead of 38 and they said it would probably be like 1:20000. So most of my risk is purely based on the fact that I am 38 and not anything specific to this pregnancy. Since our risk is low, we will not be doing any invasive testing.
As always it was nice to see my little one, even though it was sleeping most of the time.
ETA: We are about ready to start telling the world now. We are just waiting until after a friends wedding this weekend. It's a good thing because I'm not going to be able to keep this under wraps much longer. My waist is expanding very rapidly. Next week we'll be Facebook official!
