Back from the doctor and hooray for progress!

So as I stated below, today is my due date. I just got back from my doctor's appointment and we've finally made some progress! As of my appointment last week, I wasn't dilated, but I am now 1 cm, thinned out, and his head is really low. She decided to strip my membranes. When she said that, my first thought was, "Oh $%&@!" because I've read on various bump boards that it hurts like hell. I didn't feel a thing but when she showed me what it looked like, I must have made some sort of face because she started laughing. Looked like a huge booger! lol When she was doing it she made the comment that the baby liked it, whatever that means. Maybe she could touch his head and he was moving around? I'm a little crampy from that part of my exam, but it's not bad. Her guess is that he will be born Saturday morning so we'll see what happens. I have a NST and ultrasound on Friday to check things out, and if everything is fine and he still isn't here by next week, then we'll induce (unless the NST and ultrasound indicate it needs to be sooner).
