Nicknames for your LO?

What pet names do you have for your LO? When did the nicknames start, and where did they come from? Does your DH or SO have their own nickname for LO? How about your Parents?

I call my LO Baby Flood Nugget, our last name is Flood. It statred and stuck at the time of my first ultrasound. I told my mom when I showed her the pic of 8w3d that it looked like an Alian Shrip, and she didnt like it so then I decieded it looked like a nugget. DH calles it Peanut and sometimes Nugget, but mostly "his" baby. My mom calles it her Dumpling (shes from the south) and my dad calls it a Fig, they have a fig tree in their yard and one fell off and I brought it to him and told him that was the size of the baby around 9 or 10 weeks.

We call LO Small Fry - not sure why. One morning i woke up and DH was looking at the ultrasound pics and I said just said "you checking out Small Fry over there?!?"

Our nickname is Buddha. Ever since we got married, we have wanted a "Buddha of our own" - so once we (finally) got pregnant, LO is known as Buddha. Which is fitting, given how my stomach is going to be...

I don't really have a nickname for this baby but I have a ton for my DD that pretty much started at birth. She will answer to any one of these. I warn you they are super silly and have no real meaning. MH even uses these. Ha!

Pinky Pie

P-Pie (If I am feeling to lazy to say Peanut or Pinky)

Sugar Boo

Ry-Ry Roo (This one is a silly play on her name)

I think once this baby is born I will find a whole new set of nicknames to torture him/her with.

Thats really cute! You sound like my mom she calles me at least 5 different nicknames that she has given me since I was in the womb. LOL

With my last pregnancy, we called that baby "shim" kind of a combo of She and Him. But when I lost the baby, it was too painful to reuse that so we call current LO "Little Who's It" that's the nickname MH's father had for him before he was born and since he passed away before I met him, it's a nice way to include his memory.

We usually refer to it as the fruit of the week, as in, "How's the avocado today?" Except sometimes DH calls it "peanut" or "jellybean." And yesterday he came home from work and asked how the hippopotamus was doing -- only I think he may have been talking about me, not the baby...?

I just started using Cupcake... it was that or my little monster and Ididn't want to brand the baby so soon... HA! DH calls it jellybean, baby, little baby and whatever else he thinks of at the time...

My husband is constantly coming up with new nicknames for our cat, and the baby has been no different. The one that has lasted the longest is "Little Wasabi." I eat a lot of sushi, so that's part of it, but he also calls the cat "KemoSchwabi," so really, he's named our child after the cat. But it is a pretty cool cat, so I'm down with it.

We refer to baby as "Silky" because it rhymes with our last name, and has been an ongoing joke between us for years about how our firstborn would be named Silky. Then I got pregnant and said "uhm no way" So Silky can be the in utero nickname

RIght now, it is gummi bear. When we find out the sex, he or she will get a new name until born, as we're not going to share the name until after the birth (we'll decide it, we're just going to keep it a secret). If LO is a boy, his in utero name will be Chester. We haven't decided on a girl name yet.

Our first was Thumper. So far this one is just little baby/new baby. I found that I had lots of little nicknames for #1 once he started moving, so I'm thinking more nms will develop later.

Baby B- Our last name starts with a B.

Peanut- One of my really good friends proclaimed, "OMG it's a peanut" after I mass texted our u/s picture. My family has since taken to calling it peanut.

Monster is the only nickname we have so far. DH does call the baby Coop-a-loop which is a nickname we would use if its a boy (as we are naming him cooper), but since we dont know yet i told him thats not nice, incase its a girl!

My husband calls ours Pollywog. lol. He came home with pickles and said Pollywog wants a pickle and I cracked up. Pickles and Mexican food is all I want lately. I also hear Pollywog wants a taco. I think it's adorable and found myself using it as well. Friday FB post was Pollywog's a peach and I had a bunch of ???? comments. lol
