I don't care...I'm doing it! (NBR)

I was the first to get married in my group of friends from high school. 3 of them were in my wedding party. We played the newlywed game - they asked my H questions and then sat me in the front of the room and asked me the same questions (H was not there, but his sister had the list of answers). For everyone I got wrong, they gave me a piece of Bubblicious (sp?) bubble gum. Those thick rectangle gooey ones. We were only together maybe 2 years and, well, I sucked at the game. I was spitting, almost puking, even spit a wad of gum out when they weren't looking so I can continue the game. My MIL felt so bad for me she snuck me the napkin to spit it in.

Well, I wasn't in 1 of the girl's wedding parties because I just had JT and they did destination wedding. But her sister's shower is next month and that one I'm in. Well, I was told the bride didn't want to do any games where she is the center of attention. And I'm thinking "FVCK you! I'm doing it!" I've got my list of questions ready and I'm going to call her fiance.

And I'm playing this game for EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON. in my wedding party if I am in theirs. It was fun, humiliating, hard, and crazy...so why don't I get to enjoy seeing someone else suffer??!!

Am I a b!tch?

    Just a little. But as long as you think your sister will particiapte in the game I would do it! Is she the type to be stuburn and refuse to play? Good luck! Are you going to make her suffer and chew the gum also?

    It's actually my friend...not my sister. She could refuse...and yes but I'll use sticks of gum or the little trident ones.

    Are you in charge of the bridal shower? If not, I would maybe talk to the person in charge to see if this game can by played. I hope so because it was funny!!!

    No I'm not in charge, I talked to her sister who is and told her the bride was playing it. I didn't leave an option for her to not play. All of the bridesmaids are throwing the shower (and paying) and I'm one of them...so it definitely can be played (bride just doesn't want to...too bad!)

    I don't understand wanting to humiliate the bride...and you definitely seem to have the attitude that you are reveling in that part. So yeah, you're clearly being somewhat of a *** and looking for "revenge". Maybe take a step back - we've played the same game at several showers with a much more positive twist, when the bride gets a question right the person whose gift she is opening gets a prize, or a name is drawn and they get a prize - then everyone is cheering FOR her, not against her.

    Her gifts are unwrapped...so can't do that. But thanks for the suggestion.

    ETA: I'm not giving her the same size bubble gum I got at least. And it is funny when her mouth is stuffed with gum and she's trying to speak...it's hysterical....spit flying everywhere....she's laughing so hard she's crying......I can't wait! Yeah, you are right - a little b!tchiness coming out here :)
