Pregnant after IF

It's my due date today

And Holden is apparently still content hanging out in my belly!  I'm sure he's thinking, "Mom, it's a lot cooler in here, than out there. Why would I come out!" haha  As of my last appointment last Wednesday, I still wasn't dilated, however they could feel him putting more pressure on my cervix. I have an appointment this afternoon so we'll see if anything else has changed.  I have been having what may be contractions off and on this morning, although being a first time mom, I have no idea if that's what they really were.  My whole belly would get tight and I would have this strong pain, almost like a gas pain, across the whole thing.  Lasted about a minute, and then it would happen again maybe 15 minutes later.  The next time it happened was 30 minutes later.  The fact that the same type of thing kept happening made me go "hmmm" but for all I know, it's nothing!  I'm going to ask the doctor today their feelings on inducing.  I'd rather go on my own, but at the same time, I'm ready for him to be on the outside.

I've also decided to ignore everybody who texts, calls, or asks on Facebook if he's here yet, coming today, etc.  I've already gotten a text from my MIL saying, "Is today the day???" Ugh.

Hoping for a good progress report today.  It sounds like things may be starting to happen.

I am right there with you on the "how's it coming" texts, messages, etc.  I'm getting tired of them (even from my close friends and family).  Trust me, if I'm not sending out an update then NOTHING is happening.  When we have news we will certainly get the word out.

    Hang in there!

  • Ha! I know!  I've decided to mess with a few annoying people today by having "And away we go..." as my away message on my instant messenger.  I'm actually referring to "and here come the stupid questions and comments" but within 10 seconds of me putting it on there, my MIL writes "to the hospital? Ok, now I'm wondering...", texts my husband to ask if we were going to the hospital (he didn't write her back), and then IMs me again saying I'm teasing with that away message.  I didn't bother responding.  I'm still a little bitter she woke me up from one of the most restful nights of sleep I've had in a long time just to ask if today is the day.
