Spotting last night...T&P's please

So, last night, after a BM, I had some light spotting (I have never had spotting with a PG, not even with my previous loss).  It was sort of pinkish red and it freaked me out!  I called the on-call doctor and she told me that since we've seen the HB and that it's not heavy bleeding that I should just rest and drink fluids and wait it out and if the bleeding became heavy to head straight to the hospital.  I checked throughout the night and the spotting subsided.  I had a little bit of brownish discharge this morning. 

I already had an appt. set up to see my OB for the 2nd time today, so I'm just hoping and praying that our LO is still growing in there.  It's going to be a very long day.  Thanks for listening ladies.

    I know that's scary - I'll be sending T&Ps!  I do wonder, though, if perhaps the blood came from an internal hemmorhoid?  You said it was after a BM.  I had some pink spotting in the 2nd tri and freaked out - but it, too, came after a fairly difficult BM.....And after I thought about it more and more, I couldn't be positive that the blood was spotting and that I had made a mistake (back to front) when I wiped.  It never happened again, which makes me think more and more than it was a  wiping accident.  I hope that's the case with you, too!

    Spotting is always scary but can be pretty common in early pregnancy especially after a bm (even more so if you were straining). I hope it stops for good and your appointment goes well today.

    i'm thinking it might be hemorrhoids too, which i believe i had last week. i had been constipated and then was able to go to the bathroom and had diarrhea for a few hours that had blood mixed with it. it was very scary but was gone in a few hours.

    let us know how your appt with your doc goes today. my mom brought home the doppler from the doctor's office she works in and that helped reassure me immensely!

    I often spot after BMs. Hoping it stops and you can breathe a little easier. ((HUGS))

    Hopefully it was just irritation from the BM.  If you have a sensitive cervix, that could explain it.

    Sending you lots of T&P's. Early on I had some pinkish CM every so often when I would take a BM. My OB told me that it might just be an overly sensitive cervix that gets irritated when I push. They told me to start taking Colace and it has really helped. Hope your appt. goes well today- GL :)
