I knew I had that last ten (or maybe 13) pounds to lose. I kind of assumed it was all over my body, mostly in my belly.
But I never realized how much my body had actually changed since the baby. My husband and I took a full length pic of ourselves holding the baby (yes, the first one I took since he was born) and I was shocked to see that my formerly regular ol' pear shaped body (but still pretty cute) was downright DUMPY. I have mom bod. I don't think it's fixable I give up, pass the cookies.

I do think I'm going to ask for sessions with a trainer for my birthday because I am not doing enough myself and I don't like all the jiggling.
ETA - wait a minute - didn't you have a picture of yourself recently? I call psshhaw on the dumpy claim.

Yeah, but I was in a sari! Nothing hides dumpiness like 30+feet of fabric. Can I just wear the sari full time?

Aww, I'm sure it's not at all bad. We're totally our own worst critics.
I will say that I do not like my body at all now. I weigh the same amount that I did before becoming pregnant but it looks nothing like what it used to. My butt is flat and weird now and I still look 5 months pregnant. I'm not sure what to do about the rear end problem but I have to have my stomach fixed with surgery (it's a hernia like thing-y...not plastic surgery, don't judge me
and I'm not getting that done until we're done having children so I'm doomed to look pregnant for the next 4 years at least.
Mine too! What is up with that? My butt used to be a semi asset and now not so much. It doesn't help that I have very little time to myself and exercise and I live in Florida so I don't like to take LO out in the heat for walks and it doesn't cool down until after she is asleep.
We're the new cool club - dumpy mommy club. HA! I'd be able to join too. I weigh the same now as pre-pg, but I don't look the same. Major pooch in the front, wider hips, saggy boobs, and I don't even look at my rear in the mirror anymore because it's just sad.

Actually, with my pooch, big ole' hips and odd droopy boobs (I'm a 32A, there's nothing there to sag,and yet they do...) the idea of me flashing anything is scary.

I'd like to join too!
Jilly - I'm sure you look great for having had a baby 6-7 months ago
I'm dumpy too. I was starting to feel decent about myself... but then this weekend my sister and my mom asked me if I was pregnant again. FORREALSIES. Talk about taking me down 1,000 notches. And this is why when I go to the beach in 2 weeks, I will be wearing a cover up.
I hear ya, honey. I had big Italian hips to begin with, and since I gave birth to DS they are even bigger. It sucks. Not to mention that loose skin around my belly that will never go away despite the millions of sit-ups I've been doing, the stretch marks...ugh. DH swears he doesn't notice and I believe him, but dammit I notice! I want my 21-year old body back!!
P.S I agree. Pass the cookies!
