I know I can check DD's stroller or carseat at the gate or at the check-in counter... but does anybody know if I can check, say, her seat at the counter and her stroller at the gate for free? I want to take both but I don't want to pay for it, lol. TIA.
ETA: We are flying with Delta.
Re: Airline travel question...
We always did that with DD and never got charged. (We flew Southwest. They assured us the carseat wasn't counted as a "bag".)
Is Southwest connected with Delta? I should've specified that. I've been looking on their website. I know a couple weeks ago when I looked (before I knew which airline, I looked at all of their sites) one of them specified that you could only bring one.
I forget who I flew with this summer but they checked my PnP for free along with my stroller. DD had her own seat so I didnt check her carseat. I would personally call the airline ahead of time and see what they consider a "baby item".
We fly delta all the time. Both the stroller and car seat are free.
No. It might be worth it to give them a call to ask their policies.
We always do car seat with luggage and stroller at gate, for free, on Delta. No need to check:
Strollers & Child Restraint SeatsChildren?s strollers and seat restraints are not counted as part of the standard baggage and therefore can easily be checked for free. For your convenience these items may be checked at curbside, the ticket counter, or at the gate.Child restraint seats may be brought on board the plane in certain circumstances. For instance, if there is an open passenger seat in your row, you may place your child in an FAA-approved child restraint in that seat during take-off and landing. If an empty passenger seat is not available for your child restraint, the item must be checked at the gate by a Delta representative.
