I hate to waste breastmilk!

Last night, I pulled a bottle of breastmilk out of the fridge at 10PM.  DH was supposed to give it to him at his first feeding, but my LO only ate an ounce.  At 6AM I saw it, and put it back in the fridge.  Should I just throw it away or can I save the remaining 3 ounces?

    I would toss it.  It was out for 8 hours and has been fed from, exposing it to bacteria.  Better safe than sorry!

    Thanks, hon!  You are right.  I knew the 8 hour rule, but I wasn't sure if that was for room temperature, just pumped milk, or do you get a few extra minutes if it came from the fridge. 

     Pouring down the sink now.....there is always more!
