Parents Choice Walmart diapers?

We received some of these for my baby shower. Anyone use them? I tried putting the newborn on and they seem huge (guess they won't fit until she is size 1?). Are they ok diapers or pretty cheap quality?

  • I bought a pack with DS1 and hated them so much that I only used a few.  They gave him a rash.

  • My mom bought me some when my DD was a newborn - I hated them so much I only used a few from a huge package.  They feel thin and there is no guard on the back preventing poop from traveling up DD's back.
  • We used these as NB for my son.  They do seem huge but your LO will grow into them. I had DS in them until he was about 10lbs. I plan on going back to parents choice as soon as we go thru what we recieved at the baby shower.

  • They fit big. BUT, I find they hold more then huggies and think they are well worth the price.

  • I had some with my DD when she was a baby and hated them.  So with DS i wont even be attempting to use them.  With DS we use Luvs bc that is the only thing that doesnt leak or stick to him.  Here Luvs are a lil over $6 a pack vs huggies that are almost $9.

I have to disagree with this. We recieved a few packs at our baby shower. I opened the first pack over the weekend and I hate them. They are very thin and don't seem to absorb the pee very well. I have to change DS more often. We love Huggies, they fit DS so well and absorb his pee so he isn't just  "sitting" in it. (hope that made sense)

  • I tried these after reading great review on them from an independent site. They aren't my favorite, but I don't think they are that terrible. I would say it is a decent buy. IMO, they were no worse than the very basic huggies diapers. I would actually say they worked better for my LO than the cheapest huggies on the market (which leaked every time I put them on my LO due to a very obvious design flaw.)

  • Wow, I wonder if they make them differently for US Walmarts than they do Canadian ones.

They don't hold as much as the Pampers with DryMax that we first used, but they definitely absorb well. I have no problem with pee leaks, and have not had a poop explosion with them.

One thing I REALLY like about them is how the entire tab is stretchy  - we actually get a better fit for D, who is quite lean, because we can do them up fairly tight without them popping open if he moves funny.

  • I use them a lot. For such a great price they work just as well as any of the other diapers I have tried.  They may not feel as soft, but they work for my kids.

  • We got some at our shower and we hate them....they are horrible and we'll be throwing them away. Luvs are a little over $6 for 50 diapers and we really like them.

  • I received two packs as a gift.  I tried them on Sophie and they do fit very big.  I don't like the way they fit on her, but I haven't had any trouble with them.

I'm using the pack I already opened as back up right now.  I'm giving the other pack to a local shelter along with the formula sample cans that we aren't using.

  • They are paper thin and don't absorb well.  Had my worst poopslosion in them.  Will never buy again.
