New to the community!

Hello everyone! I joined thebump right when I found out I was pregnant, and have been "lurking" for awhile. I've started to reply to a few posts, but I still feel kind of weird since I'm so new!

Anyways! Here's my story! I'm 18 years old and just graduated high school. I work as a full-time nanny and will be starting college next month to pursue my dreams of becoming a pediatrician. My boyfriend of a year and a half is 20,and will be joining the army soon after the baby is born. This is the first child for both of us. It was unplanned and very unexpected but we're very very excited! I'm 16 weeks as of today (due Jan. 9th), and we seriously can't wait 2 more weeks to find out the sex! Our families have been giving us so many gifts already, and have been super supportive so far. It's been a blessing to have such amazing family, especially since we're so young and many families turn their backs on teen parents.

I look forward to meeting some amazing people on here, and exchanging advice as well! Smile
