we have the summer infant video monitor for DS and it has worked great. wondering what to do when DD comes in sept. i still want to have a monitor on DS so i'm thinking we have to buy a 2nd video monitor for the baby. has anyone done this? can i just buy the same kind i already have or won't that work with the frequencies, etc.? any other suggestions for video monitors? thanks!
Re: 2 video monitors?
depends on what kind you have. the slim and secure one has the option to add another camera and scan bwtn each room every 8 seconds so you can hear the kids at night and not have to switch manually back and forth. The original summer video monitor can also add a camera but you have to manually switch back and forth and so at night that wouldnt work for most people. Go on therir website and look around, as long as it says it scans the cameras, you should be fine.
We had two monitor sets at one point and they interfered and we found it annoying having two handhelds.
I have that one (handheld) and I bought a second camera and just keep each kid on a different channel- mostly I keep it on youngest now, but to answer your ? yes, you should be able to just buy an extra camera from their website.
