This is a cart before the horse post, as we're still TTGP. I am curious to have your thoughts, regardless.
My last name is, well, quite italian. Think famous mafia family... Unfortunately, I am not a fan of any traditional "italian" first names. I love names like Delaney, Ashley, Jayson, Brandon, etc. It just bothers mebecause I don't think those first names go with my last name.
Any suggestions. DH likes Angela - I do not at all (sorry to all the Angela's out there). We discuss names a lot...we know it will be difficult once we are pregnant.
Re: Names that go with an Italian last name
For girls, how about Sienna, Selena, or Gianna?
For boys, how about Luca, Leo or Enzo?
I knew two very Italian brothers in HS and their names were Danny (I'm assuming Daniel) and David. My little cousin is Italian and his name is Rocco which I love.I really don't like Angela but I do love Angelo for a little boy !
I'm not a fan of Delaney or Ashley but I do like Elaine or Elena as an alternative. GL!
I love Elaina, but my SIL's sister just named her new baby Alaina. We see them a lot, and the names are so close.
See, I feel like Angelo is "too" italian. DH would love it!
What about Eva, Ava, Julia, Faye, Isabella, Willow, Leanna (my sister's name), Holly, Lily, Veda, Vanessa, Harper, Harlow, Stryder (LOL, I love Aragon from Lord of the Rings), Arwen (another LOL), Georgia, Juliet, Claudia, Anna Marie.
Hmm, for a boy, Roscoe, Gabriel, Elijah, Isaiah, Conner, Christian, Marco, Marcus, Damien, Dominic, Brendan, Brandon, Travis, Tavis, Neil, Josiah, Zander.
Matteo, Vittorio, Nico
Gabriela, Francesca, Philomena, Caterina, Antonella
Not that I would do it, but I did hear a little girl called Sicily.
I second Gianna! (my name) and PLEASE spell it this way, the other ways make me cry.
Dominic (Nico), Christian, Julian, Matteo
Gianna, Juliana
I LOVE Italian sounding names- the girl names tend to be very girly and feminine but still grow with the child and the boys names tend to be very strong and manly.
