S/O sleeping a lot.

I just started swaddling LO for naps on friday and now LO is sleeping LONG naps, every two hours. The naps are between 1-2 hours, and I'm often waking him up).  I feel like now that he's super easy to put down (just swaddle and place in swing = out like a light) I'm taking advantage of the quiet time.

Can he sleep too much?  He didnt nap as much on the weekend because we were out and about.

Should I wake him up?

Is this going to negatively influence him sleeping better at night?

Or should I shut up and enjoy it?

Shut up and enjoy it. lol...

But seriously, I've read that sleep begets sleep, and that as long as he isn't sleeping more than 3 hours, it shouldn't interfere with nighttime sleep. I'm jealous!

I'm also jealous. My DS only naps for an hour tops. He likes to eat, play, sleep but only sleeping for 30-60 minutes or so and then repeat. I would love for him to sleep longer but it just isn't in the cards for us. Maybe I'll re-try the nap swaddle, I haven't in almost 2 months but maybe it needs a comeback and it will work.

This is NEW and wonderful for us. I didn't swaddle for naps because I was worried he would mix up night and day.  But when he started to fight all sleep, including naps, I had to do something.  I went from spending 30-40 minutes walking/bouncing him to get him down for a nap that lasted 20 minutes (so really, I did that all day), to this.

Try the swaddle.  It's a miracle.
