Well, I just had my 36 week appointment today. Was expecting to see my regular doc, but instead saw one of the others (the only man in the practice...and the only one I hadn't seen yet!). Of course, this happened to be the appointment where I got my GBS test! DH went with me, and was a little creeped out at "another man messing with my parts". *lol*
I had to remind him that my old OB/GYN was a man (the one I started fertility stuff with), and our RE was a man...and they were both all up in my junk all the time during fertility treatments, so having this OB do 2 quick swabs wasn't anything.
The doc also asked me if I wanted him to check for dilation - said a lot of patients ask about it when they get their GBS (thinking he is checking that while down there too), and he could if I wanted it. I declined. I am curious, but have no reason to believe anything is going on yet, so I figured I'd avoid the discomfort and potential spotting that could come from it for now!
Everything looks good still, thankfully. My sugars have been good, and I was complimented on how well I've been doing,. Yay! I go weekly from here on out, and starting next week, I will have an NST before each appointment. I guess I will have to start bringing my Kindle to the appointments with me!
Also, for some reason, it REALLY BUGS ME that my doctor's office has my due date different. It was 8/22 from the time of my first ultrasound with the RE. That date coincides with my LMP and with my IUI. Yet somehow, the doctor's office has 8/24 as the EDD. I know those couple days don't really mean anything, since the baby will either come when she's ready, or I'll be induced by the 24th (due to the GD)...but still. Just one of those little things that irks me!
Yay for only having 4 weeks left!
Re: 36 week appointment today
IUI#2 - 01/07/09 = BFP!!! Twins!! Pre-term labor 20 weeks
IUI#3 - 1/31/10 = BFP!!!! M/C - 8wks
IVF #1 - 7/2010 = c/p
FET - 9/2010 = another c/p
IUI#4 - 2/14/11 = BFP!
This. It takes everything in me not to "correct" them. It's just not worth it, though.

And I totally get you about the dates, I'm very particular about ours as well. I had one doctor keep trying to say my date was Oct 30th (only 1 day off) and I just would not let it go. G kept telling me to calm down about it, but I was like "I KNOW MY DATES AND I KNOW WHEN MY BABY IS COMING!". Thankfully, they got the message and corrected things.
