Im going early toorrow morning , but cant recall if I can eat or drink before hand? I know I can do that during the hour wait, but it would be nice to have a small bite to eat and some water. Thx

You are not supposed to as it is a fasting test. I know doctors that say 8 hrs before and some say 12 hrs before that you should be fasting. A little water was ok is what I was told but no food, gum or anything and if you puke during the hour wait you have to do it again. Good Luck.
This varies widely by OB, but mine had me fast for 12hrs. The girl who drew my blood asked if I had fasted and said that the vast majority that fail do not fast. Most accurate reading obtained that way.

This definitely varies. I fasted before mine, and I was very, very ill afterwards. I was then told that I did NOT have to fast, but should stick to foods high in protein (low in carbs/sugar) before hand.
My OB said not to fast before mine... I was actually on vacation with DH and got home a few hours before my test. I definitely ate my share carbs up until the plane left, and I still passed

He said to go with a low sugar breakfast and it was fine...
