Sick of being sick...

This will be baby number 3 for us and it's been the worst 1 trimester yet!!  With my first kiddo, couldn't even tell I was pregnant.  Other than being a little more tired than usual, there were no symptoms.  With second kiddo, I was sick three days and no fatigue.  This time around, I'm super sick all the time and can barely get out of bed.  Thankfully, DH is super helpful and has been picking up my slack. ( Well, most of it....)  I'm a SAH mom, and I kind of feel bad for having the kiddos do quiet inside things cuz mommy has a head ache or is stuck in the bathroom.  They are getting really good at coloring!!!  lol  And my oldest ( who isn't even 2 yet) loves helping me with the dishes!  Hoping all this passes sooner rather than later!

  • I am in the same boat. I wish my 1st pregnancy would have been the tough one. Instead #2 was and #3 is too. UGH....my kids are older 5 and 7 and have been really good but this is getting old. And I called my Dr today and said I am not throwing up enough to get a prescription...I am considering lying and telling them I am, just so I can get some relief from the 24 hour constant nausea. And if anyone else tells me to eat small bites of food, saltines and ginger ale. I may just loose my mind.

  • Me too!  This is baby #2 for me, but with #1 I did not have a bit of morning sickness with him. This time, morning sickness has hit me like a ton of bricks. I feel virtually useless around the house (not to mention I run a business from home), and my poor 2 year old just wants mommy to play with him and it is so hard to get the strength to do it.

  • *hugs* I hear ya. Today I went to the gym JUST so my DD could have people to play with since I'm so boring and just want to sit around. I just parked on the treadmill and walked real easy :)

OH- and to the PP who's doc said you weren't vomiting enough for a prescription? I don't  understand that- he can't quantify your nausea! Even if you're not vomiting a ton, if you're not eating because you're nauseous that's no bueno either. All I had to do was ask and they called it in. GL!

  • This is my first pregnancy and I am sick 24/7.  I thought it was normal, but it sounds like most people weren't sick with their first. I stay hungry, but nothing is appealing.  I live off of saltines, ginger ale, Jell O, and bland cereal.  Luckily I am a teacher and at home on summer break.  Some days I don't even get out of bed...hubby brings me food trying to get me to eat.  I basically nap all day and sleep all night.

I don't know what will happen when we go back to work... hoping I will feel better by then!

I hope everyone starts feeling better soon!

  • Oh my gosh this is my third too and it's the worst by far!! Mine luckily I'm okay during the day. But after dinner and trying to do baths and bedtime ... yuck!! Hopefully we get over this quickly!
