when did you and DH start discussing names?

We should find out the genders tomorrow (hopefully!) but DH has refused to discuss names before now. I, of course, have been thinking about names for years. Embarrassed

When did you start discussing name possibilities? If you started later in your pregnancy did you feel like you had enough time to agree? We have to pick at least four... Eek!

We started talking about it when we started TTC. Two years later...sigh. We have never finalized anything but we talk about it.

I can't quite remember when we decided on DS name.. I'm pretty sure it was fairly early.. as we had a boy/name girl picked out before we were able to find out the gender.

This time around I've been thinking a lot .. we have a girl name decided on.. but he's been of no help with boy names hehe

We never talk seriously about them until after we know the gender and usually much later even. I will occasionally throw out a name and ask if he likes it but we don't really get down to business until late 2nd tri or even 3rd tri.

DH wanted to start discussing names as soon as I hit 2nd tri. We've talked a little bit about it and I think we have a boy name chosen, however DH just told me he doesn't want to think about it anymore until we find out the gender.

As soon as we started to seriously consider TTC, the lists started. We run by the list once every few weeks to make sure we still like the names. Boy names are tough, but we have a girl name pretty much set. I figure that if I still love it by the time I'm pregnant, it's the right one!

Well, J. was born late Friday night (it was almost Saturday). And we didn't talk about names until we woke up Sat. morning. And we had a name by Sunday morning.

DH didn't want to discuss names until he'd met the baby. Whatever...I had a list of names I liked. That gave us a place to start, which was enough for us.

Why do you have to pick at least 4 if you find out the genders tomorrow?

Well before TTC, we're just like that. We had two boys' names picked before TTC the first time and we just made our final decision on a new girl name a few weeks ago (we used our previous favorite with DD). We probably won't TTC #2 for another 6 months or a year.

DD's mn was up for discussion during my entire pregnancy, though. We didn't make a final decision on that until after she was born.

We talked about names we liked before we TTC; however, it wasn't until after we got pregnant that we started a list. Even then, we didn't discuss too much until we discovered that we were Team Pink. Now that we know we are having a girl, we have had much more active discussions about the name.

We picked out boy name out when we were dating (as weird as that seems). It came up that I was in love with a name that was his brothers/dad's name and he wanted to use for his first son.

We picked DDs name probably around 24 weeks.

And I have been on the baby name craze ever since. I have out next 14 children picked out first and middle

This baby we are Team Green and of course have a boy name (from long ago) and pretty much have our girl name from our runner up last time.

I'm fortunate we agree on names for the most part!

my SO wouldn't really talk about names either until we found out what we're having. I'm not 33 weeks and we still have no idea what his name will be. Good luck!!

We started talking names when the test came back positive. We wrote down names we liked and names that we did not want to consider at all. I picked the first name for DS and DH picked the middle name for DS. We picked a girls name as well. DH picked the first name for the girl and I picked the middle name for the girl. We both had to like the names though. =] I think we will do the same the next time we try to have another baby.

I'm very into names, and have been since I was little. DH and I discussed names before we even got married. It helped him get used to my naming style, which was very different than his!
