Reaching the end of my pregnancy here and I'm a little scared at the thought of getting out of the house right away with both kiddos. When did you first get out of the house alone with both LO's and how did it go? Was it easier then you thought? Any advice would be great!
TIA!

Re: Getting out of the house with 2u2?
We did at 4 weeks PP. It would have been earlier, but I had a rough recovery from my 2nd section. It was definitely easier than I though. By the time DD was 2 months old, going out with the both of them alone is like second nature.
I always find when I'm going somewhere for the first time with both kids alone (like the zoo, pool, etc) I am SO nervous even still sometimes but its always better than I think.
the logistics of 2 u 2 was the hardest part for me. Figuring out where to put one while strapping in the other was hard, but once you do it one time, you figure it out and get the confidence to do it again.
I got out alone at 2 wks with DD since thats when DH left for the rig, so I was alone with an 18 month old and 2 wk old for 3 wks straight...so if I didnt get out of the house I would not have food to eat
It was scary but fine. You have to think ahead and plan. When we went grocery shopping I would park near the carts so I could grab one and stick kids in. If we went out to eat, I would sit (and still do) near the high chairs and garbage so I could clean up without kids underfoot and while still watching them close...also so I could grab a highchair without carrying or pushing kids. I brought my double stroller into places I normally wouldnt need a stroller if someone was with me, but I needed my hands to carry stuff like food on a tray. I would BF while DS was strapped into a stroller, carseat or chair....I learned not BF while he was out of something since I would have to chase while with BFing and that wasnt pretty. You learn. You'll be great
