Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Toddler Diarrhea

My daughter has has diarrhea for about 1 month straight. The doctor keeps saying shes fine. Just make sure you are giving her enough fluids. But I just feel something else is wrong with her. She has no fever and acts completely normal. Then I found online a thing call Toddler Diarhhea...Has anyone else experience this? It says they can have this until they are 4 yrs of age!!

Re: Toddler Diarrhea

  • have you considered some kind of allergy? what foods have you introduced in the last month?

I haven't heard of toddler diarrhea.

Has the pedi run any tests? I'm surprised they're dismissive of it after a month. Our pedi lets it go 2 weeks before they want to see them.

food allergy is a good idea, too.

  • My oldest had this and it was from too much juice.  We mixed his juice with water and he only had one glass a day, but that was the cause.  As soon as we went with just water or milk, it was gone.  Now, he occasionally will have 1/4 juice, 3/4 water and I notice he has runny bowel movements.
