So, I've mentioned before how much I've procrastinated on getting LO's nursery going. Well, we finally are making some progress. We ordered the Graco Lauren crib yesterday, it shipped today, and should be here by the end of the week. 

We went today and bought paint for the nursery, and are about to go get started painting.

And....we still needed to get a dresser. We wanted a low dresser so we could use that with a changing pad on top instead of doing a changing table. I just couldn't get over how flippin' expensive dressers are. We were thinking of going with a dresser from Ikea. Today, we stopped at BRU to look around a bit - I still had a gift card with about $100 on it to use there. Thought we would peek at the dressers, just in case. What do we see, but this:

The two pieces together are normally about $650. It is a desk and a nightstand...but the nightstand fits under the desk part so you can use the whole thing together as a dresser and put a changing pad on the top, then as the kid gets bigger, you can use it as a nightstand and desk. The best part....it was MAJORLY discounted at my BRU. We bought both pieces, and saved $400! Plus I had my gift card, so out the door, we paid like $160!

I'm very excited about this. Now I need to get off here and start getting that darn room cleared out so we can paint! Both the crib and the dresser stuff should be in by the end of this coming week!

    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.

    That is a great deal!  Love furniture that grows.  Shopping days like that definitely make shopping fun.

    I ordered a Lauren but it came damaged. I am so glad I checked before I made DH lug it up the stairs. I have another one coming this week too, so hopefully it will come without problems this time!

    We ordered the crib from Target. I will definitely have DH check it over when it arrives...thanks for the heads up!
