I got a thank you from one of our execs at work for DH and I to go out to a nice dinner. So...I've got $150 to spend and want to make it worth it. We've got date night this weekend. Where would go if you weren't paying?
Jeffrey's. I was there last night. Have the filet and the okra. Then die happy.
hhhmmm see we were just there last Thursday and it was just blah to me. I guess since i don't like mushrooms it rules out a few options for me and since they only have 6 items on the menu there really wasn't a lot of option for me.
I love Jeffrey's and was there a few weeks ago. The chocolate cake is amazing for dessert. I'd probably pick there if I wasn't paying but I'm not a steak person.
Uchi or Uchiko. Also, I have *really* been wanting to try Barley Swine. Just haven't gotten there yet, but it's supposed to be amazing. The chef is the guy who started the Odd Duck food trailer & now has this restaurant. He just won a prestigious chef/food award - I want to say a rising star James Beard award or something like that.
Re: $150 for dinner - where would you go?
Mizu's
Perry's
UCHI. hands down. and I may not even invite DH. UCHI all.to.myself.

Uchi or Uchiko. The benefit to Uchiko is you can make a reservation. They are both amazing!
Also love Wink.
Enjoy your dinner!
