Hi there AP board! This is my first post here, though I lurk often. I would like your suggestions for a "pretty" wrap that is easy to put on that will work for my given situation...
About 4 weeks after my EDD DH and I are traveling to FL for my SIL's wedding. (IMHO, this is way too soon for us to be going to a wedding with DS, but I digress. If I still feel uncomfortable about it when the big day comes DH will be going to this wedding alone.) I DO NOT want him passed around like a football at the wedding (too many germs, too much stimulation, disruptive to breastfeeding, etc.) so I thought that wearing him might be the best option. Do you have any suggestions for a pretty, comfortable, light wrap that might be appropriate for an inside wedding? We have an Ergo that we will be using when he gets bigger, but I figured I could splurge a little for a pretty wrap that will fit him well as a NB. Thank you for your thoughts!
ETA: Sorry, I'm going to have to post and run. I am exhausted and need some sleep. I'll check back in the morning.
Re: Need wrap recs
Any type of carrier will work- I just want something that is elegant, relatively easy to get on and carry baby safely in and will keep hands off of my newborn. Are there any particular brands/WAHM/etc. that you would recommend?
TY for the reply!
I have a lot of great wraps on my website if you are interested. www.AGraffDesigns.etsy.com
Tons of pretty and lightweight options for you. Baby wearing is such a blessing! What momma doesn't need both her hands?!?!

I second the recommendation for a ring sling. It is easier to learn and would look nice with a fancy dress.
I would also recommend a ring sling. I have one from Sleep Baby Productions that I love in a beautiful dark purple linen that looks really classic. I like her's because you can customize it to whatever you want. As the other posters mentioned a ringsling is great for quick ins and outs and easy for a newbie. A wrap could be a lot to take on if you are unfamiliar with wrapping and especially in the heat of Florida. It can also look a little messier wrapping vs. using a ring sling. They are also great since you can use them well into the toddler years in a hip carry as they get older.
Also check out The Babywearer's FSOT board if you are looking to get something but not spend a lot there are always a ton of ringslings on there and many are actually wrap conversions so they are really pretty.
