Yummy desert for non-dairy moms

I just had raspberry sorbet with a piece of angel food cake. It was delish and 100% milk free! Sorbet has become my new obsession since I can't have ice cream. Just thought I'd share for those of you who have eliminated dairy and still have a sweet tooth!

That's awesome, I may have to get both tomorrow.

On another note, if you ladies are interested I tried the Daiya (sp?) dairy/soy free chedder cheese. While it does not taste exactly like cheese it wasn't too bad and it was stretchy. I put it on turkey burgers and it added that little something to them since I miss my cheese A LOT! I didn't try the mozzerella yet.

  • Just to note. Oreos are also dairy free :)

The moz isn't as good to me buti love the cheddar. I put it on a spelt tortilla and heat it before putting my other sandwich stuff on. It is a easy portable sandwich!

Enjoy Life brand has several options - chocolate bars and chips (which I mix with peanuts and Cheerios), mixes for cookies, and pre made stuff too. All are top 8 free and good. Most items I have found at Whole Foods but my Kroger has the candy bars! ;)

  • If you like coconut there is a coconut ice cream line, totally dairy free. DS, after a month of doing just fine with me eating dairy, has relapsed so it's back to no milk. He was obviously never ok with it, it just took forever for symptoms to manifest again. Anyway, do try the coconut, I tried gelato after eating that and to me the coconut ice cream tasted much better, it has ruined me for all other ice cream!
