*Cute lunch check-in* - some breakfast, too

First, a few breakfast things:

If you'd like to amuse your 4 yr old at breakfast, give her a bowlful of milk and a pitcher of cereal to pour in. Opposites are funny! Side of banana went untouched.

Breakfast parfait! Mini pancakes layered in a small glass with blueberries and a side of syrup (an extra special treat).

With the rest of the pancakes, I made a bunch of nickel-sized pancakes. They took forever, but now I have a huge batch of mini pancakes in the freezer. We pull a few out, microwave, add some fruit, eat it with a spoon and call it "pancake cereal." (A little someone insisted on being in the picture.)

And now, lunch!

A Pooh bear lunch on the day we saw the Winnie the Pooh movie. Sandwich with cheese cutout, inside the bear container is some ham plus a pick for eating it, cherries, carrot sticks including a few cut into flower shapes, and a homemade granola bar.

I know, visually this one is a wreck. But it was a fun surprise for my Tinkerbell-loving girl, who didn't know I'd gotten her a fairy place setting and napkins. There are three sandwiches including an itty bitty "fairy" sandwich, all topped with cheese-shaped flowers. The celery was supposed to be leaves, plus a container of raspberries and a cherry.

An extra quick lunch. PBJ "window" sandwich with candy ears and mouth from a cupcake kit, raspberries, carrots, celery and a Babybel cheese. This took about 3 minutes, but taking the time to line up the food in neat stacks makes a difference visually, I think. The same things could be thrown on a plate, but I think they look nicer when they're neatly contained in a bento container. This would have traveled well if we'd needed to take it on the go because it is tightly packed.

BLT on the left, with some jewel picks to keep it together, celery, carrots and raspberries on the right, plus a tiny silicone container of fruit dip plus sprinkles. To my surprise, she ate quite a bit of the sandwich.

And finally, leftovers. A flowerpot silicone container of leftover pesto pasta, Parmesan cheese in the bird container, tomato slices, a cheese stick, carrot sticks and raspberries with chocolate-covered sunflower seeds.

Have a great week everyone! Have you made a cute lunch this week? PIP it!
