I'm curious how many of you want one gender over another...
I of course, as everyone else, want a healthy baby first and foremost...
then after that, I go back & forth on what gender (it's our first). My brother & his wife are expecting a girl, so in a way, I know it would be fun to have a boy...but on the other hand, girls are so fun and I like my girl nursery colors better. I flip flop every few days which I guess is a good place to be in! How about y'all?
Re: Do you want one gender over another?
like you I want a healthy baby over anything else.
But i could pick i go back and forth. I have a 4 year old son (will be 5 by the time the baby comes) so i would love for him to have a little brother. But, I also think it would be fun to have a little girl too - there is a pretty big age gap between my kids so having a girl might be fun - I love looking at all the girl clothes and buying for my nieces that it would be fun to get to do it for my daughter. My mom has 3 grandsons between me and my sister so she would love a little granddaughter. But, like I said i will be happy with either - my main concern is healthy!
its fun to think about it though.
I already had my first dream about the sex of the baby - i dreamed it was a girl. And Overall I have just had this feeling since i found out that it is a girl. who knows! We won't be finding out til the baby is born
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
I think that's I'm leaning toward another girl. DD2 and LO would be 16 months apart and I just dream of them growing up to be BFFs. My SIL has a girl so we have lots of girls around here ...
This exactly. I really wanted a girl for my first, but after having a boy... they're just so much fun. I wouldn't mind a girl at all this time around, but... I don't know. I'll be happy with either, but I secretly would love another boy.
Healthy first but if I had a magic wand I'd go for another girl.
I honestly wouldn't know what to do with a boy LOL! I'm sure I'll figure it out but we are already 100% set up for a girl so it makes it that much easier. Plus, my husband and I do not agree on ANY boy names.....not one. But we have several girl names we agree on.
Sooooo another little girl please
Not going to lie, I really want another boy. Mostly because the thought of having a teenage daughter scares the bejesus out of me!
I deep down won't care either way, but make no qualms about telling people my preference lol.
Since my hubby and I had a son first, we want to complete our family by having a girl. However, I keep having dreams that it's a boy so we'll just have to see what God has given us!

My Baby's Size
I agree, a healthy baby is the most important. I do really want both a boy and a girl at some point. My brother and I did not get along at all in elementary school but when we hit high school I grew to really love having a big brother.
Also, my DH doesn't know how to deal with kids younger than a toddler so I think he would bond faster with a boy, but I may be making that up.
For both those reasons I am hoping for a boy.
On my last pregnancy I had a feeling it was a boy, but this time I have not yet gotten a sense either way.

I also go back and forth-it seems that each day I think of a different reason that I would like a boy or girl more! So I really don't think I care much either way.
I would love a boy... and DH would love a girl. Maybe we'll have twins

DH wants a boy 100% (but of course would be happy with a girl too) because he wants him to be the big brother for any kids to come. Plus DH's brother has a girl so we were hoping to mix it up a little with a boy
I don't have a strong preference either way but am of course drawn to more girls name, clothes and nursery color schemes so I think that would easiest for us in that sense. We have decided on both a boy name and a girl name though so either way we are ready and are planning a fairly gender enutral nursery because our next kid will be in there too.
