DH and I currently live in a 1 bed apartment and will live here for a least a couple of months after the baby is born, before we move into our house which is being built. Because we will not have a nursery to set up prior to the baby being born, DH suggested we hold off on buying nursery furniture (crib, changing table, etc.) until we move into the house. We will have a pack and play with a changing table, as well as a co-sleeper, so I think it should be fine to wait to buy the furniture, but I am a FTM - I want to make sure there's nothing I'm overlooking. Do you think we should buy the furniture? Essentially we would set up the crib in our (very small) bedroom and the changing table in the living room. TIA!
Re: Advice please!
you could buy it now if you find something you like, but you don't have to set it up until you get into the new house.
The PnP will work fine before the move.
Depending on how many months is a few, I would wait. It's just one more thing to move. If you're going to have the baby in your room in a crib if you get one, I would just go with the cosleeper/PNP.
However, I would totally suggest picking out a few sets you like and putting aside the money for it now. We are on our 2nd home and there's always something to spend money on (decorating, landscaping, etc...) and you will need the crib soon enough.
