Medicaid and Birthing Centers

I applied and received medicaid to cover what my primary insurance company does not pay for. Does anybody know if SC medicaid covers the option of having a baby in a birthing center? And also, does it matter what plan I choose that medicaid offers? Has anybody here had experience with medicaid and using a birthing center here?

    I'm also going to apply for medicaid to see if they can cover my co-pays and costs not covered by insurance. However, I'm not sure if they cover births at birthing centers. I don't see why they wouldn't though. Maybe you should call the birthing center you're interested in and ask if they accept medicaid and if so, are there certain types of medicaid they will not accept.
