Re: happy full term baby to me

  • I opened this thinking you were overdue.  You're not quite done yet!  I even read an article recently saying that 39 weeks is what most doctors (who know something about something) agree equals "full term".

Three more weeks though, fun fun.  :)

  • I was just going by what to expect when your expecting and 37 weeks is when the lungs are supposed to be fully developed that's why they say it's full term.

  • It'll fly by - I promise.  But like joyco said, you want to keep her in there to fatten up and be super healthy by the time she comes out!  :)

  • Congratulations! I hope you guys are having lots of nice dinners, movies, and naps!

Apropos of what is full term, there was this very interesting piece on NPR recently about those last 3 weeks. Should you find yourself at 38.5 weeks tempted to drink castor oil, this article will make you feel better.

  • Jumpy today aren't we folks!?

I'm guessing what you mean is "Hooray, I've carried my baby to the stage where if labor starts, things will probably be OK!" not "OK, get this baby out of me now that its done cooking". Possibly, "I'm so glad my water didn't break at 32 weeks like Sarah's and chances are my baby won't have to be in the NICU", which IS something to celebrate BTW, I don't mean that in a bad way at all.

You'll get to meet her soon enough!

Yay!  The next few weeks will be the fastest and slowest weeks ever. Smile  Enjoy them and take as much time for the two of you as possible.  Sleep late on the weekends and resist the urge to want to get every single thing finished before Baby Marsh comes.

Wishing you lots of *~*~*Easy and relaxing three weeks until Baby Day*~*~* dust for you.

Exactly what she said, especially the bolded part! When I was 37 weeks, 3 weeks seemed like an eternity, but now that was 7 months ago! Wow Indifferent

Spend lots of time rubbing and enjoying your pregnant belly. Be as lazy as possible. No need to rush around trying to get things done (because that will just end with you crying/yelling at a manager in BuyBuy Baby about a stuffed animal Wink). Everything will come together. I hope you enjoy the time you have left!

And YAY for full term babies and Yay for an almost Baby Marsh!

Um, yes Embarrassed The day before my water broke, I was having contractions, standing in BBB looking for a stupid stuffed lamb. The web site said they had it, they couldn't find it in the store, and ... it was not pretty. My husband still teases me about it. And looking back, I should have just put my waddling butt in bed! Especially since the lamb magically appeared in the nursery while I was in the hospital.

    Kmarsh, get some rest! Hehe.

  •  thanks guys! Sara, thats too funny! I will try to survive the next few weeks....if I don't go a week after my due date my Dr. plans to induce me so at least there is an end in sight.
