We have two couples who are our best friends, and one of the couples is getting married in October, one is getting married in May. Our friends getting married in May are having a destination wedding in Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. The couple getting hitched in October is using the week at the Punta Cana wedding as their honeymoon. They both have talked about starting to TTC that week of the wedding, and so DH and I are thinking of TTC at that time as well. Not JUST because our best friends are going to try, it would be a good time anyway because DD will be a year and a half when we start trying, and if we conceive right away she will be over 2 years old, which is a good space between siblings IMO.

The only "ehh" is that if we conceive in May, the baby will be born in February...I would prefer our kiddos not to have winter birthdays if we can help it. Decisions, decisions! We need to start talking about it, one thing we have learned is that time is FLYING BY!

I am torn it will be either next July or July 2013. I am not sure how far apart in a age I want my children to be.

I want a VBAC as well.

My Dr told me I could VBAC after 9 mo!! I got pg when DS1 was 15 mo old, delivered when he was 23mo. No VBAC- I had GD again and baby was large again!

DS!1 is also a holiday baby- he's Jan 2, so a week after Xmas. DS2 is 2 weeks before!

Our original plan was to have a Feb or later baby... whoops! If we have a 3rd, I am soooooo not doing the dead of winter again!

We'll probably start trying this fall. My OB said to give it a year and I'm not a candidate for VBAC so I'll have another c-section.

We've already started trying... 1 because it took so long with the first one and by long I mean like 4 years and 2 neither me nor my husband are exactly spring chickens I don't care when I get knocked up, I just want to be so I can get this show over with

Probably not until July/August 2013 because I would like for DS to be school age before I have another and I would like to have a Spring baby. Also my principal would be happy that I'm not missing a chunk of middle of the school year. But who knows....I was hoping for a spring baby last time around and that didnt exactly happen...

It's not a state LAW here, but in Oklahoma no one will do them either. It has something to do with the type of malpractice issurance offered here. No one is willing to risk their insurance.

That's such a load of crap. VBACs can be very successful if the pt and baby are closely watched. I talked to my dr about a VBAC at my PP visit and she said I was the perfect candidate. I was so releived to know that she was supportive of my wishes and is comfortable w/ it. I think any women who wants to try for a VBAC and is a candidate should at least have a chance.

We haven't 100% decided when we want to start TTC #2. We know we want #1 to be 2 or 3 before #2 comes along. I haven't even discussed VBAC or another section with my OB yet.

I would love to have a VBAC, but I don't know enough right now and haven't even discussed pregnancy #2 with my OB yet. I also don't think she does VBACs at all so it would involve me finding a new OB (and i had a hard enough time finding this one and I love her).

I think we are going to TTC in June 2012 - I refuse to have another winter baby, esp if I have a c-sect. I feel like I didn't leave the house for two months after this one.

We haven't really decided when we'll TTC for #2. We had difficulty getting pregnant with DS, so my Ob/gyn said he'd rather me try soon rather than waiting a year of so that he typically advises other c/s patients wait.

If a #3 is in the cards we'd wait until end of summer/fall of 2012 to start TTC to get an optimal age gap (for us!) and make sure my 1st is closer to starting school once the baby is here. I'm interested in a VBAC but my current OB practice doesn't do them.

We have a couple factors:

1. I'd prefer not to have another December baby (November or February would be ok, but would like spring or fall baby.

2. I may be getting a new job and don't want to be out on maternity leave within the first year. I should be starting between mid-august/early September so I think we may wait till next summer.

Anyhow, we are aren't necessarily doing anything to prevent aside from the "Pull our and Pray" method.

I don't know for sure why but I remember the guy saying that from here on out if I have a baby in the State of NM it has to be C/S. I really didn't care at the time what he was saying I was just so exhausted from pushing 3 hours I wanted DD out!
