High-Risk Pregnancy

Intro and new to the bed rest club

Someone recommended I stop by here.  After starting with preterm labor, I was admitted, did the course of mag sulfate, got the contractions to stop and sent home on Procardia and complete bedrest.  I have two follow up appts this week with my OB and High Risk OB, but I suspect they are going to keep me on rest until 35-36 weeks.

I am a teacher and off work for the summer, so I was already "taking it easy."  I was planning to start out the school year and work up to delivery, but that is seeming less and less likely with each day that passes.  That's really going to screw up my maternity leave because I really wanted my time to be home with our daughter, not before her arrival.

I will be having a c-section regardless of when she comes because of past uterine issues/surgeries.

I foresee a LOT more bumping in my future!
