I think I may be celiac as well as DD. Anyways, last night I made a batch of regular pasta for my parents and GF for myself. I have only been GF for about four days now, but by the time dinner was done, I knew I had gotten into something. I had GI symptoms right away. Within two hours of eating I itch. All over. I took some benedryl last night and still itch this morning. Is this from the gluten or should I go see urgent care? I have no rash or hives, just itchiness. TIA

I figured that was how it happened. I am so new to this, and have so little guidance from my PCP right now. All I got from her was eliminate gluten and call me next week to see how it goes. We will go from there.
So I am assuming I need a whole new set of dishes now? Unfortunately my brother and his Girlfriend live with me and all they eat is gluten. I have no way to eliminate it from my house.
I only found out I had celiac disease because my daughter had it.
You don't necessarily need new dishes. We replaced anything that doesn't go in the dishwasher (cutting boards, wooden spoons, nonstick pans) and things that were super gluteny (colanders, pizza pan, pasta pot, flour sifter, cookie cutters).
Our house is only about 90 percent GF. My H and oldest daughter eat gluten occasionally. So we have dedicated cupboard space for gluten and we don't share things like mayo, pb, butter, or even toasters.
This is almost exactly like my home too. We usually have 1 loaf of gluten bread, a few cereals, and a few kid snacks. There is a specific cupboard for the gluten stuff and the gluten toaster sits on the counterspace below that cupboard.
I basically replaced all of the things DandelionMom replaced, though I kept my non-stick pans that weren't scratched.
