That fleece soaker that was "too small" for Simon...
Well, I realized I cut it the wrong direction for the stretch of the fabric. But before I realized that I cut out a bigger pattern size, and IT. IS. HUGE! LOL! Guess we'll hold on to that one til PLing, lol!!! Thought you might get a laugh out of it. ![]()

Re: SistersofJoan...
Haha omg that's hilarious!
Ms. Tall Girl just went to bed w her other mama and I will be enjoying the next 20 minutes of peace before she decides boob mama better get her butt to bed.
I have no fleece but i might be interested in trying it at some point. I am really liking the wool I have maybe you would be interested in doing something upcycled?
20 minutes, *sigh* hope you enjoyed it!
I am slowly easing myself into wool. I'm practicing on fleece now since it's so cheap. And I'm afraid to get addicted to wool since it's so flipping cute and so expensive! I'll let you know when I dive in!
True! but still, haha. And they're so easy to make. I whipped this one up while eating dinner. Have you tried the pattern yet?
Oh I did. She is a really good baby but she sometimes is a little difficult at night if she doesn't go to sleep early enough...ala last night. Ohh well we all have off nights.
If I had any ability at all I would go look for wool sweaters to upcycle at goodwill. I may go look anyway. I've bought some upcycled wool from a lady on etsy, I think her shop is kidsgogreen. Love it! I also manage to score a brand new Sbish soaker for like $20 on consignment at my local baby shop. Wool is awesome stuff.
No, I haven't tried it yet. I need to find a fabric shop around here. We had a great one and it closed...so now I've been too lazy to attempt to find (google) another place nearby..lol..lazy..lol..
I've been wanting to try this as well. I have a pattern/instructions for turning old sweaters into woolies..and it looks pretty easy. And It would be cheap to just go to the goodwill and pick up some old sweaters...hmmmm...Maybe I will give that a try tomorrow...
Ok, twist my arm..... LOL! I think I'm going to have to go as well now. DH would love a trip to Goodwill also. He loves digging through old junk.
So, could I use the same pattern as the fleece? Or do I need to google a different pattern for upcycling the wool? Because that's a lot of work you know...
Yeah, Simon is difficult if he stays up too long too.
Glad you got a break
I see other people's Sbish stuff on the CD board and daydream about owning it. Then I go to their shop and look at how much it is and my little dream bubble *pops*! Hubs would have a cow if I spent that much on a soaker.
Side note...Amanda, I LOVE your new siggy pic..so cute!!
