Ace is almost 6 months old and getting sick of the toys we have. He really loves his playmat but he is getting way too big for it. We also have a jumperoo. I really love wood toys and simple things that are not all lights and plastic. Do you guys have any suggestions of particular toys or retailers/makers that your LO loved?
Re: toys for 6 month old?
I didn't really like wooden toys for Lily at that age--- the ones we have were just too heavy and she had a hard time handling them and also dropped them on her head and body a couple of times. Maybe they make lighter ones, but I know they just weren't interesting to her.
She really loved her Sophie the Giraffe at that age as well as her Winkel (made by Manhattan toys- pretty much anything made for babies by them is great), cloth books (especially the ones that crinkle), and she really liked this mirror that my Mom gave her that she could use during tummy time- I think it is made my Lamaze.
Pretty soon he is going to get into the putting things in and taking them out phase. Anything like the Lamaze first fish bowl is great for that phase.
Have fun!
