Pregnant after IF

take your rings off!

OMG. Yeasterday I thought... hmmm I'm gaining weight and these heat is making me swell...maybe I should take my rings off. They didnt look that tight yet. .... Well I couldn't! I decided to wait until first thing this morning when the swelling was down and lube it up.

Holy hell did it hurt!!! Dh had to pull and twist it off the rest of the way but we got one off! It hurt so effing bad I was almost crying! My finger is way too swollen now so I'm icing it down and will maybe attempt my wedding band later or tomorrow.

Not looking forward to it.

  • I had to take my wedding ring off a few weeks ago.  Luckily, I got another ring from DH last Christmas, and it's slightly bigger, so I've been able to wear that one instead of my wedding ring.

  • Funny you should post this today because for the first time today I felt like my rings were too tight and an wearing them on a chain as a necklace.

  • With my first pregnancy I had to take them off at 20 weeks - luckily in this pregnancy i'm almost 38 weeks and they still slide on and off just fine. I actually check to see if i'm swelling this way lol. My doc will ask and i'll check my rings. They can't believe i'm still able to wear them.
  • Some days I wear mine and some days I don't. A friend of mine had to have hers cut off last summer when she was pregnant due to swelling. When it started to get hot here that was all I could think about so I made it a point to take them off each night before bed. I won't even attempt to put them on if I'm just going to be hanging out at the house all day, so at this point I just test them to see if they go on comfortably before I go out. I picked up a cheap ring at Target a few weeks ago to wear on the days that I can't wear my own.

I hope your wedding band comes off after the swelling goes down.
