    Do you mean one day trips or all weekend?  I love Sea Ranch, but it is too far for a day.  Really best for a two-nighter or more. 

    A couple other ideas- Half Moon Bay, SF (of course), Stinson Beach, Muir Woods.

    No good deals this time of year for the Aquariam. I did a gtg with some free passes in June. Will have more in September.

    Try farther up the coast....Mendocino area....can do hiking in the redwoods or enjoy some beach time.

    I like to check out the suggestions on Red Tricycle: https://www.redtri.com/san-francisco/fun-stuff/family-vacation. My husband and I just went on a trip to Napa WITH KIDS after reading one of their articles, and everyone had a blast. (I didn't think it would be possible!) They have great ideas for trips and day trips in the Bay Area--I haven't tried them all, but I like to dream ;)
