Dropping?

Today I have started feeling a LOT of pressure on my cervix. I haven't ever had this before and its pretty uncomfortable, even slightly painful. Is this what it feels like when the baby starts to drop?

    That is what it felt like to me.  My lo started droping around 34 weeks.  Now it feels like I have something high up in my vagina...kinda like when you insert a tampon wrong and it's a little uncomfortable up in there.  And it feels like someone is stabbing me in my cervix.

    That sounds like dropping to me.  Lots of pressure.

    This happened to me 3 days ago. I felt more crampy down there and my appetite has increased. With LO#1, I dropped and about 2 wks later he was born. I think you can be this way for a while, though. Everyone is different.

    Yes and no.  I mean, yes that's what it feels like - but that's also a side effect of the baby getting bigger as well.  It's hard to tell sometimes.  With DS, based on what I was feeling I was sure I'd dropped (and everyone told me I'd dropped) and he never descended past -2 station.

    32 weeks seems a little early for dropping, but I wouldn't know. DS didn't visibly drop until the day I went in labor (40w5d!) and there was no pressure or pain whatsoever.

    Exactly.  Dr. Confirmed at my 36 week appointment that is indeed what happened.  Baby is happily engaged in my pelvis now.  Just waiting to start dilating and having real contractions.  Hoping for a healthy, happy baby.

    My LO partially dropped at 35w1d and my MW confirmed they the tip of their head is in the birth canal.

    I do not feel a ton of pressure in my pelvis, yet( I am sure I will when LO drops further) but did notice a decrease it the fullness in my upper belly/chest.  I can breathe :-)
