I'm spotting pink/red right now. I'm getting a few cramps as well. ***, of course it's just too good to be true. I am mildly bummed right now. I'm hoping things will turn out for the best... I'll go to a medicentre tomorrow I guess seeing as it is the weekend.
sigh.....
Re: Jeez, may have spoken too soon.
I had light pink spotting with PMS like cramps during week 5 or 6 and everything turned out fine and I'm almost 20 weeks now. I'm sure there are those who would tell you otherwise, but I wouldn't go to an ER center for it. I had an early m/c with my last pregnancy just before 5 weeks. I started spotting red and went in and they couldn't tell me anything that early and found no reason for the bleeding. I started bleeding the next day and lost the baby- $800 later. There is NOTHING they can do if you are going to m/c, but hopefully this is not the case.
While spotting/cramping are not normal, they are both very common, especially in early pregnancy. I would just try to take it easy, keep an eye on it, and see the doctor on Monday unless you are having a lot of pain- then go asap.

Praying for peace in God's ultimate plan ~ "Be still and know that I am God." -Psalm 46:10
I have had a lot of bleeding this pg, from brown spotting to bright red gushes, and so far LO is ok -- although I have been told twice that I was m/c, that was not the case.
During both of my heavy bleeding episodes, I was told to only go to the ER if I was soaking through a pad every 15 minutes for at least an hour or if I had unbearable pain I couldn't control with tylenol.
They did want me to come in for a u/s to check on pg location when I first had bleeding at 4 weeks, but because my betas were so low at that point, it was totally useless and I don't know why they bothered. Following betas is a good idea at this point, if your doctor will order them for you.
I hope this works out for you!
I broke down and went to a medicentre (a walk in clinic chain in western Canada). The doctor was really nice, but like you all said (and I sort of knew), he couldn't do anything. He said that I was to go on strict bed rest and have lots of fluids until the bleeding stopped, so this is my plan.
The cramping has subsided and the spotting hasn't increased, so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully I can get some tests done on Monday, but this is Canada, who knows how fast I can get in.
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, they are greatly appreciated. Big hugs to you all!
*hugs* I'm still thinking of you. I hope the bleeding goes away just like your cramps. This is such a trying time for you and you are in my thoughts.
