Uuuuugh IL's...! (NTTGPR)

Okay, this is beyond rude, in my opinion anyways.

So my BIL and his GF and her kids were supposed to arrive today and stay overnight on their roadtrip vacation. So, We got back several hours earlier from our vacation to spend Friday and today cleaning for their arrival at supper.

Our place is spotless, both bedrooms and the bathroom are made, and we get a message (via FACEBOOK no less) from my MIL who informs us that he couldn't find our place on the GPS and lost patience after a short time and drove past our city, without even stopping by or anything. We spent all day waiting, trying to call, message, anything, and he just goes right on by.

Oh and what's my man say? "Why are you upset? There's no reason to be so upset."

Because it's effing RUDE that's why?! Ugh.

And to top it off, the HPT's never showed up on my vacation, so now I wonder if it's the post office delay, or they got lost and it was a waste of money on IC's...

Sorry just had to vent because this is #1 on my pet peeve list...

I think it's rude, too, Kita! They could have at least called. What a bummer. I hope your HPTs arrive soon! Try to put it out of your mind...and enjoy your nice clean house

This drives me crazy! My DH had some friends coming into town once and they did the same thing. We just don't talk to them much more since they let me DH down (he was really excited to introduce me to them). However, being that it is your IL's, you can't just stop talking to them. Hope you all work it out! Enjoy the clean house and your free time!

I agree - that was really rude. Since your house is clean, maybe you could have some friends over tomorrow...or just enjoy the clean house!

Trying not to let it get to me, but I won't even get to enjoy it much or at all. We're cat and dog sitting for a friend, she breeds pets, so as part of the job we have to stay overnights at their place, so I cleaned my place for my IL's to sleep in when we won't get to spend the nights here.

I agree that is extremly rude! I would be pissed to! I don't know why people think it's okay to be blatenly rude like that! Especially family. I have had some issues with my IL's lately too and it just bugs the hell out of me!
