Flying - ugh!

I am not flying the red-eye with DD again for a LOOOOONG time. We had a 9pm - 4am (9am adjusted time) flight home last night. DS was a champ and went to bed as soon as the lights went off, but DD, although also asleep for about 5 hours in total never slept more than 25 minutes without needing to be nursed back down. The lady on the other side of hte aisle had a baby the same age who went to sleep and slept hte entire flight so she could sleep. I didn't sleep a wink - every time I drifted off she cried (and of course you can't let a baby cry, even for a minutes, on a crowded overnight flight!). UGH!

But, on the plus note, she grew a TON while we were at Grandma's, is now sitting independantly, can lean over and back up, and even tried coasting a bit! She's so different than DS was, it's amazing! :)

Anyway, I'm glad to be back properly ladies - jetlag aside. I missed you!

  • Welcome back! The red-eye with two LOs sounds like my worst nightmare. Hope everyone adjusts quickly and you get some good, solid sleep soon!

Good luck getting readjusted to home.   I hope you had a good time with your parents (or in-laws?).  At least you get to escape the rest of the heat wave.
