Props and Headbands for Newborn Photos

My newborn photo shoot will be in a few weeks and I am looking for headbands and props.

Anyone know where to find small headbands that have flowers or bows for a newborn photo shoot?

I'm also looking for suggestions on where to find props for the session.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have a hard time finding anywhere around me (central Mass) but online I suggest etsy, or making your own. I interned at a photographer and we used to get fake flowers from Jo-Ann's or Michaels, cut them right down at the base then hot glue a piece of felt to the back covering the little bump where the stem was, then hot glueing a barrette to the felt, then another piece of felt on the inside of the barrette (so hard to explain, but the barrette pieces when closed don't overlap eachother, there is a piece of felt in between) you then attach that to the headband. I second PP... if you don't want to make them (seems pretty easy to do, but might not be worth your time) my sister in-law has had great luck finding headbands on Etsy.

i was at claires today and they had some pretty cute baby accessories. barrettes and those stretchy headbands with the flower attached etc.

if you have the time to order, i would def. check out etsy. stuff is soooo cute!

I def agree with the Etsy suggestion, but also Amazon, which may not have quite as much of a selection but did have some more economical things. I just ordered a whole set of mix and match headbands and flowers as well as a lil' ruffle diaper cover with matching headband. Etsy is definately the best but it can get expensiive once you factor in shipping. I also buy a lot of Emma's bows on Facebook auctions, TONS of people put them up AND I've bought them at Walmart. They have small sized bows in the baby section!
