Re: 2IF Weekly Update - 7/22/11
Update: Holding pattern. Waiting to O, not really temping. Based on CM I might be getting ready to O, but I'm with my Mom, 1000 miles away from DH so... pfftt. FWIW, Mom is doing a lot better, but it was pretty scary. Thanks for all the T&Ps!
QOTW:
1) DD is a great friend to others; caring and empathic.
2) DH and I love animals and nature - DD has assumed our love for these things and taken it to a new level... she really seems to have a deep connection to many animals from the smallest snail to the largest horse. She's said she wants to be a vet for the last 2 years - I hope I can help her make that happen!
3) DD has acquired my Dad's sense of humor - a little strange, but very, very funny. I love how often she makes people laugh!
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
Miracle DD born 12.2005
TTC #2 since Dec 2008 w/ PCOS
***P/SAIF Always Welcome***
Keep it Natural, Baby!
Hi ladies
Stalking you all daily and sending big hugs to those who need them this week.
Things are pretty good over here in this neck of the woods (except for it being 48 degrees...I think that's about 118-ish F....blech!). Baby "chicken" is doing well and I feel movement every day now. Have to go in for a doppler of the placenta and umbilical cord in the next couple of weeks because my PAPP-A level came back borderline (could indicate placental insufficiency later on in 3rd tri). I'm not really worried - I'm sure everything will be fine. Also have to go back in for another u/s in 3rd tri because they saw an echogenic focus (bright spot) on the heart during my anatomy scan. Also not worried about this since doctor said it wasn't uncommon and if it's not accompanied by other anatomical abnormalities, it doesn't usually mean anything (the rest of the a/s went perfectly and all measurements and baby parts are great...also had enough will power to stay Team Green!). Just chugging along and starting to prepare the house, clothing, etc.
QOTW: I put DD in the summer camp my work runs so I'm looking at her running through the trees right now from my window (it's an environmental camp) - I love seeing her throughout the day!
1) I love her sweetness. She's a cuddler and generally isn't stingy with her hugs and kisses either. Nothing I love more than smelling her hair and kissing her neck when we're in the midst of a cuddle. Mmmmm
2) Her strong-headedness. I have a love/hate relationship with this one lol. It makes me want to pull my hair out and scream yet be proud of her at the same time. I hope DH and I do a good job of shaping this into assertiveness so that she has the tools to hold her own as she grows. I'm not too worried!
3) Her willingness to help others. She thinks of other people and really has the sympathy/empathy thing down pat. It makes me so proud of her when she does something selfless to help someone else out. Her teacher and day care providers have always brought up this quality about her and she even won a "character" award at school for it. I hope this is something that is always part of her personality.
xoxo

Thanks for doing this, Jmay!
Im currently 11dpiui and I was planning to test this morning but it was so freakin hot out yesterday I did not go out after work and buy an hpt so that I would have one first thing this a.m. I think Im thinking its going to be a bfn, since I now have zero symptoms (this week i was really tired but i think it was the progesterone). Ill try to get one tonight, I definately want to test before I go in for a beta on monday. Good luck to everyone else who is in the 2ww.
QOTW:
1. DD (who is 3.5) has a funny sense of humor, loves to make up rhymes, laugh at herself and be silly. I do not to laugh when she makes up potty related songs, but sometimes I think to myself they are pretty darn clever.
2. She is a pretty bright kid and very articulate for a 3 year old (when she is not being shy). Of course im probably biased.
3. She is a momma's girl and loves me so much....sometimes this can be a curse, but as she is growing up and growing more independent, i see what a blessing it is as well.
Update: Well, TTA until my back problems get figured out. Had an epidural (cortisone shot) for my back yesterday. Following a low GI diet hoping for AF and/or some signs of fertility. Nothing yet.
QOTW: Hmm..well just this week Abby started holding her own bottle, started waving, and after pulling up to standing she let go for about 5 seconds! I'll also brag about how friendly she is. She warms up so quickly to people and she's the opposite of a clingy baby. I like that! One day, we'll have to have quite the "stranger" talk though!!
Baby #3 is on the way! EDD 3/8/15
DD1--8/29/10
DD2--11/6/12
Hi Ladies!
I am in the first week of the 2ww, 4 days piui. For the first two days after IUI I was feeling a lot of cramping and twinging going on and now, nothing really happening down there. I am peeing more, but I think that's more b/c its so darn hot outside that I am drinking a TON more water. DH did call me out on being super irritable last night, LOL.
My son Ben is such a cutie pie. He has a great sense of humor too. Always making up jokes to tell us. He is also very empathetic with his peers, which I love. His teacher at school is always telling me he is the first to come to someone's aid if they are hurt, scared, etc. Love that. One other random thing I love about him is that we can take him anywhere with us without fearing he will misbehave--restaurants, friend's houses, etc. He is pretty adaptable.
Have a great weekend ladies!
Nothing new here..just waiting to get my period in the next 2 weeks, then i will start the birth control pill..and then 12 days later start my IVF meds....im really hoping 3 times a charm with this...ive been doing accupuncture 2 times a week and taking DHEA...and starting eating healthier and excerising...so let's see what happens
QOTD: my daughter is amazing in many ways...she is a very talented artist already (takes after my husband) and her work just amazes me ...she is so kind and gently (and like a little mommy) to her new baby girl cousin...she would make an amazing sister and I really hope I can give her that gift....her smile can really light up the room and turn any of my sad days into happy days...she is my heart and soul
My DS is brilliant and sweet and affectionate.
UPDATE: It has now been 2 weeks since my D&C, which means that I am finally able to have sex again, yay! I can't really tell if my body is getting ready to resume regular cycles or not--all of my pregnancy symptoms are long gone, but I'm still having some spotting occasionally.
QOTW:
1) DS is a really healthy eater--he eats a ton of fruit and whole grains and a good amount of vegetables. I'm sure he would eat even more healthy if I liked to cook more.
2) For the most part he has really learned how to control his anger or frustration in a good way (minus biting me 2 days ago, very out of character!). When he gets mad he usually will go over to a corner, or lie down and "go sleep", until he calms himself down on his own, and then he's ready to play again. Actually, I think it's probably my own fault that I got bit the other day because I didn't give him this time to calm himself down.
3) He is soooo sweet, he is just a little love bug! He loves to cuddle or sit on my lap and give hugs and kisses. I really love this about him!
Update: Just sitting here waiting for AF to show or to get a positive test. Neither seems to be happening in a timely matter.
QOTW:
1. DD is so funny! Everyone always comments on this.
2. The picture I have in my siggy is old and is not the best (she is now 3 and in the picture I think she had just turned 2), but everyone always comments on how beautiful she is. I, of course, think she is beautiful, but I love it when others say it because they are much less biased than me!
3. She is very smart and independent.
Update:
I am on cycle day 7 of my fourth go at Clomid+Estrace IUI. I am taking the clomid day 5-9 as it took until day 5 for my HCG to go back to zero. So three days into the medication and dealing with full on head aches and hot flashes! Not fun in 100+ degrees
QOTW:
My DD is bright, VERY independent, and so much like my grandfather by singing and humming to herself all day long. She always brings a smile to my face!
"Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..."
Update: Started the 2WW this week. Joy! Will be testing end of next week, probably. DH SA results came back very positive. We will be seeing the RE for a "next step" meeting.
QOTW: 1. DD is so independent and smart.
2. She is hilarious and makes friends with every kid she meets.
3. She is absolutely beautiful.
---------Game Over---------
Moving on as a family of 3
Lou's Infertility News
<a href="http://s863.photobucket.com/albums/ab199/lillinzlou2/?action=view
Update: met with a genetic counselor today and went over my translocation between chromosomes 13 and 14....we pretty much have decided to go with IVF with PGD. The RE's office acted like it could be 3-6 months before we started. So I'm trying to be positive but I'm also scared to death! I've contacted my ins. co. to see if they will cover any of the PGD part sinve they will not cover the IVF part....so hopefully if we are lucky they may cover some portion of it. On a happier note, we leave for vaca tomorrow and I can't wait!! (and since I'm obviously not pg. I will be enjoying lots of wine while I can)
QOTW:
1) DD is very loving and nurturing...I know she'll be a great big sister some day. She loves to take care of her babies (and basically anything smaller than she is)
2)She goes to bed like a champ! She always goes to sleep by herself and rarely argues with me when it's time to turn in.
3)She can remember words from songs that she's only heard a couple times....I'm always so surprised in the car when the radio's on how well she can sing most songs.
DD conceived with no issues, but born at 33 weeks due to PPROM
loss #1-06/2010 loss #2-2/2011 loss #3-5/2011
07/2011 dx with a Balanced Translocation
9/2011-decided on domestic infant adoption 10/2011-signed with an agency and getting ready for homestudy
12-2012-after being with our agency over a year and only shown to EM once we decided to talk with RE about DEIVF. Thru a crazy sequence of events we decided to go for it and we picked a donor MUCH quicker than anticipated
1/13/2013-started lupron with anticipated transfer in mid Feb.
ER 2/15 resulted in 15 eggs/10M/6F with ICSI.
2/18 transferred 1-8cell and 1-9cell embie. Snuggle in little embies.
positive on HPT 6dp3dt. Could this really be IT?!?! Beta 14dp3dt=2440. U/S scheduled for 3/20.
Update: Based on CM I think I'm 3DPO the CBEFM says I ovulated today. Who knows, we're covering our bases either way. Cycle is still wonky, but trying not to stress over it.
QOTW: My DD is a total Mama's girl and I love it. She's silly, sweet and so independent.
Update: I O'd the earliest ever CD13! It is now CD17, so here comes the fun part. Just trying to do anything other than think about another baby.
QOTW: 1 )My DD is going to be a great older sister, we have a new kitten that is being bottle fed and she is a huge help.
2) She loves the water so I've started teaching her to swim.
3) She is finally starting to talk more clearly, I'm hard of hearing so it was difficult to help her learn when I couldn't hear half of what she said.
Update: We are approximately 2 weeks from DH coming home from his deployment!! Ha - the "2 week wait" is so annoying in every aspect of my life these days!!
QOTW:
I am in awe of DD's loving nature. She is in the sweetest phase where the loves on all her babies/stuffed animals. She likes to line them up, dress them up, talk to them, etc. It is so fun to watch her blossom in new ways everyday, I love this age!
3/11 DX: lean PCOS/anovulatory
9/11 ovarian drilling to remove cysts + 5mg Femara = BFN
10/11 5 mg Femara again = BFP, ectopic pregnancy at 5w4d
11/11 diagnosed with breast cancer
12/11 bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction
http://annefightsback.blogspot.com
"Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming"
went in for bw & u/s and well the cyst we saw before the surgery may very well be a follicle(yay) on my left side (boo no tube there) and i'm getting ready to O. bw will confirm though
BUT more importantly the biopsy of the polyp from the hysteroscopy turned out to be indeed placental tissue from God only knows which pregnancy. AND a more detailed biopsy showed i have mild to moderate inflammation which he called soething(can't remeber the exact word he used) endometreosis (sp?) and i need to be on antibiotics for 2-3 weeks more since this could more than likely be the cause of my losses.
lining on the other hand looks good at 9mm
so for now 2 more weeks and i go back if AF has not shown up to possibly start provera so she does show up, OR if she shows up on her own then go in on CD2--4 for more bw & u/s
so good news but also not so great news, its just frustrating to have to keep putting it off but in the long run 2wks is better than another loss.
QOTW:
1) DS1 is a great big brother and although he has been in bit of an answering back stage i thank God everyday for him my little man who unknowingly has helped me so much to grow and want to be better every day.
2) LO is a terror but i love hearing him mix spanish, italian & english into one sentence.
3) while nursing last night LO turned grabbed my face and planted 3 wet sloppy kisses on me. its the best thing ever!
