We have coffee with my dad every morning, and every morning Dad takes M for a walk. M likes to take Granpa's keys with him and try to open the door to the cafe before putting the keys in his pocket. They come back from their walk, I put M in his stroller and M eats whatever toast or fruit he has left from before the walk.
This morning I noticed something in M's hand as I lifted him into the stroller.
I say, "Dad, can you please grab whatever that is?"
"Let me get my keys first."
He gets his keys, grabs whatever it is in M's hand, throws it aside and I put M in his stroller.
I look at what it is... and it's a dental floss pick!!!!
I'm like, "Dad, how could let him pick that up?"
"I didn't notice and it won't hurt him anyway."
"Dad! That was in someone's mouth, it was used to clean their gums. You can't let him grab crap like that."
"You're crazy! You always worry about stuff like that and he's always fine."
Fvck!
Re: Gross vent ::Long::
At least it wasn't Grandpa's teeth! <snort>
And that's totally gross.
HAHAHA! Seriously, that is a 10 on the Yuck Scale!
Substitute grandpa for DH and dental floss pick for dog poop, and the same thing happened to us one day.
"What's she holding?" I said.
"A rock?" he said.
"I don't think that's a rock! Aaaaah, it's poop!" I said.
"She told me it was a rock," he said.
Gross gross gross.

To be fair, it was petrified poop, so I'm sure to an 18 month old, it looked like a rock. But seriously, you can't just let them pick stuff up! They'll pick up anything.
Big - 1 year old
Bigger - 6 years old
Biggest - 13 years old
Yuck! Who knows what germs were in that person's mouth. The other day Adrian grabbed an empty medicine syringe while we were in Florida at the beach. Damn people! Luckily it looked like it had been out there for a while and was probably free of germs at that point. And luckily it didn't have any needle or anything. But I think A put it in his mouth when I wasn't looking. I nearly had a panic attack when I saw it, and rinsed his mouth with ocean water right away.
People are so disgusting.
But seriously, you can't just trust what your 3 year old tells you! "She told me it was a rock". Seriously? And he was OK with that explanation? That was dumb on his part.
This!!
LMAO-She told me it was a rock!!!
Gross, but LMAO.
That was my thought too. 'Cause a three year old will say anything!
Grrr...

Oh, sorry for the late clarification. She was 18 months old when this happened. She definitely knows the difference between poop and a rock now
