What is your favorite thing DC says or does now?

Claire says "Wow" (and very exagerated) to things that shock her or surprise her.  It is my favorite thing right now. :)  Natalie also calls Claire 'honey" when she's trying to help her with something or comfort her.  So cute!

  • Ooh this is a hard one! I have two I can think of.

When you ask Caleb, "Are you a boy?" he responds with "No, I'm a SUPERHERO!" LOL. It cracks me up. Sometimes he varies his response to monster, giant etc.

Also, when he sees a scratch or a bug bite on our skin he gets this adorable concerned look on his face and asks "Whattt happened?" It's so cute because he is absolutely worried about us!  He usually follows it up with a kiss to make us feel better.

  • Right now it's "I love you too mommy."

The funny thing she does is if you say something like, wow, look at you, you look like a bunny rabbit (or whatever applies to what she is doing at the time). She'll get all concerned and say, "No, I not a bunny rabbit, I Jocelyn Le...."  and say her full name.

She always tells me "Don't worry mommy" and if anything happens to her she says "I'm OK mommy"

What is annoying me right now is anything to do with baby she gets in his face and yells "HE LIKES ME" over and over. This was in a Big Sister Book she has and so she just repeats it whenever she is near the baby, HE LIKES ME HE LIKES ME...ugg!

  • Hehe.. those are so funny!

When we ask Holly to tell us about something, she always starts her story with "Well." Like "Well, I went to school today...." It cracks me up for some reason.

When she doesn't want to finish her food, she always says "I'm saving this for brekist" (breakfast..hehe) or whatever the next meal is. She thinks that's her way of getting out of eating something she doesn't like, but we're on to her. hehe.

She'll also randomly throw in days of the week or like "a couple days ago," "in a few days," "yesterday," etc in coversations. It cracks me up. She'll be like, "I watched that show yesterday. No, it was Friday," never using the right day of the week since she has no real concept of those, but it's still cute.. hehe.

She thinks it's HILARIOUS to run around before her bath naked saying "I'm a nekkid girl!" And ok, it's pretty funny. I laughed a lot at it once, now she makes sure to do it wherever we are because she thinks she's so funny. If we're somewhere else (my parents' house, etc) she always runs away and says "I'm gonna show them that I'm nekkid!"..and of course they laugh, so she keeps it up. Crazy kid. Oh, to be so free. hehe...

Jocelyn just started using the word "yesterday" but I don't think she gets, it. She does the same thing, no that was "yesterday" when it wasn't. It is so funny to hear the things they pick up and the fact they can use the words correctly for the most part.

  • When we put Ella to bed she'll say night night see you tomorrow or when I wave bye to her - she'll say - See you later.

Also - when Zachary is crying she'll go over to him and pat his belly and say "it's ok Zachy, it's ok....shush shush"  Very cute.

  • It cracks me up to hear Wesley talk about his paci. He only gets it at bedtime now, and last night, he found one in the cupholder of his carseat on the way home from dinner. He picked it up and said, 'Mommy!', so I looked back at him and he was holding his pacifier. When I asked him what was up, he took his little chubby finger and pointed a couple of times to his pacifier saying, 'Mommy, paci! Ook Mommy, is paci!' It was so freaking cute...

He also has learned the word 'sandwich' this week, and tells us he 'awnts a sanwich' when he sees DH making/having one.

  • The sweetest thing Nic has been saying lately is if Pebbles is whining b/c she wants to get on the couch with us he'll say "Pebbles wants to be part of the family"

The cutest thing he did yesterday was hug both DH and I and say "I love you bof"

I really love this age, they are so funny and cute.  (I wasn't saying this on Monday but the rest of the week has been much better. Thanks GOD!)

  • O is totally in to his baby doll and everything baby - which is great considering we have one coming home in a few weeks ;-p  Anyway, he will carry his baby everywhere and dress it, give it kisses, share his sippy and snacks with it, and then wrap it in his blanky and say night-night to it.  At bedtime he takes the baby to bed with him and tucks it in just right next to him on his pillow and give it a kiss.  It's freaking adorable.

Also, I have been really emotional lately and I try really hard to never cry in front of him because he will get upset.  But if he can tell I am sad or down, he will come over and rub my back or my head and say "Mama, k?,  mama k?" and ask me over and over if I am ok and then kiss me.  Love that kid.
