7 weeks and no fetal pole, really?

in 1st Trimester

I had my ultrasound today and there was a yolk sac which looked good, but no fetal pole. The u/s tech said try not to worry but I've already had a missed mc with the same things - yolk sac, no fetal pole.

I go back in next Friday (8 weeks). I KNOW I am right on my dates. I have a 28 day cycle and the last time we dtd was on ovulation day. I'm extremely upset as I thought the first time was a fluke. Is it at all possible for this pregnancy to turn out to be viable?

    I have no idea about early u/s, but I am thinking of you and hoping that things go well for you.   Did you say you go back next week?

    Well I'm going threw the same thing. I am 8weeks and 5 days pregnant and I went to my doc yesterday and had a u/s was sent to the hospital and got another u/s and all they found was a yolk sack too. I've had all the symptoms from my previous pregnancies and my hormone levels keep riseing so i've been scowering the internet for answers. Theres been a lot of back in forth answers tho. Some saying that it will never pregress, and others saying to wait it out and all will be fine. So my best advice for you and myself is to just pray about it and let God handle it. I know it will all be ok in the end. I trust that when I come back next week for my next u/s they will have better news. ^__^

     Yes, I go back in Friday morning. I just don't see how it could work out, knowing my dates for certain. Thanks for the thoughts.... the words of encouragement definitely help!

    It's so frustrating and depressing :( I never thought pregnancy would be this difficult. thoughts and prayers go to you! I guess anything is possible so let's not give up hope just yet!
