XP from BF: WWYD, STTN and feeding ?

LO usually goes from last bottle of BM at 8:30 until anywhere between 4 and 6:30 am. Yay! Well tonight I let DH do bedtime and was asleep at 8, and sweet guy went and took the moniter and slept in the guest room, didn't even know till I woke up to pump. Anyhoo... He brought LO to me at about 4:30, and while I got his burp cloth and the towel I lay on to nurse LO fell asleep again. Obviously ultimately I'd like him to sleep longer on a regular basis, but should I wake him now? Maybe he wasn't starving when he woke up? Maybe he just needed the diaper change and some cuddles? Usually I cam tell by his cries when he gets up, but I didn't hear them.

what would you do?

His three plus my one; we are all excited to welcome a little one!

  • I had a similar situation a few nights ago.  DD slept from 8 to 5 one night, then woke at 2:30 the next night.  I gave her a pacifier, expecting her to reject it like she does when she's hungry, and she went back to sleep immediately.  I just let her sleep, and she didn't seem overly hungry when she woke an hour later!
